Apple will fund and distribute long-in-the-works films about the founder of Theranos Elizabeth Holmes. Bad Blood will starred in Jennifer Lawrence as Holmes, while Adam McKay will write and direct. Both are producers on the project, which is a coproduction between Apple Studios and legendary.
Films, which are based on Bad Blood Books: Recrets and Lies in the Silicon Start Up Valley by former Wall Street Journal of Reporter John Carreyrou, has been developed since at least 2016, for a time limit note. This film will describe the up and down of Holmes and its company The hype around the startup of blood tests causes Holmes to be the youngest-made billionaire. The accusations and charges of fraud cause it to resign as CEOs in 2018 and the company liquidated that year. Holmes is currently being tried for fraud.
Blood is badly far from the only film and TV project about Therans and Holmes. Hulu Greenlit is a miniseri in 2019 with Saturday Night Live Star Kate McKinnon pencil in playing Holmes. He came out earlier this year, and was replaced by Amanda Seyfried. HBO documentary about Saga Theranos Perdana in 2019.
Meanwhile, Lawrence and McKay recently worked together on Netflix films did not look up, which hit the theater this weekend and will be available for streaming on December 24. It is a satire of two astronomers (played by Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio) who tried to warn humanity about comets of disasters that will collide with the earth.
