Ubisoft is discontinuing development on Hyper Scape. On Thursday, the company blazoned it’ll shut down the game on April 28th. “ We set out to produce a perpendicular, close- diggings and fast-paced shooter experience and we’re extremely thankful to our community for joining us on our trip,” Ubisoft said. “ We’ll be taking crucial literacy from this game into unborn products.”
Ubisoft launched Hyper Scape in the summer of 2020, claiming at the time the title would bring fresh ideas to the crowded battle royal request. Still, it plodded nearly incontinently to capture the attention of people who were formerly happy playing games like Call of Duty Warzone and Apex Legends. Following a posterior press release, Ubisoft admitted Hyper Scape “ did n’t completely meet the high prospects of our players.” To its credit, the company did n’t give up on the game incontinently, and it tried to regain it with fresh content. Easily, still, those sweats were n’t enough.
It also does n’t feel like Hyper Scape’s struggles have flustered Ubisoft’s desire to produce a successful battle royale title. In the forthcoming Ghost Canvass Frontline, the company is working on at least one new game in the kidney. There are also rumors the lately blazoned The Division Heartland is a battle royale. As they say, if at first you do n’t succeed, try, try and try again.
